Yes, this *is* the worst thing that can happen to your business website – but the good news is, it isn’t the end of the world.

One of our client’s websites was recently infected with malware. Deleting website viruses is a three stop process:

  • First you have to locate and identify it,
  • Then you have to delete it,
  • Then you have to tell Google “all’s well!” so they remove the warning.

The sooner you let us know, the sooner we can delete it. It took us about four days from virus detection to get the website back to normal; note that a lot of that was from simply waiting for Google to turn the “green light” back on.

We charge $1,000 to remove viruses like the one below. We will need your hosting information (your Godaddy, NetworkSolutions, etc. login). If the virus and warning are not deleted, we will refund your money, or you can use it as a credit toward us building you a new website – with firewalls this time.
